We can create two types of shows:

  • Bitmap – Fully Programmable Shows
  • Single Source Shows

BITMAP SHOWS

For the bitmap, fully programmable shows, we know exactly where each phone is located, so we can assign a specific set of instructions to each person/seat/smartphone.  This allows us to create patterns, words and, in some cases, logos using the screen on the smartphone.  These shows are similar to Card Stunts where each person is given a colored card to create images in the bleachers.

SINGLE SOURCE SHOWS

A single source show is one where all the smartphones are doing the same thing.  Single source shows can be created using the flash or the screen. For single source color shows, every smartphone will be programmed to display the same color for the same duration of time using the screen on the smartphone.  The colors can change as often as needed.   For single source flash shows, every smartphone will be programmed to display the flash for the same duration of time using the flashlight on the smartphone.  Often single source shows are designed to have all the smartphones pulsating to music.

FLASH SHOWS

Flash shows use only the flashlight on the smartphone to create a light show.  Flash shows can be used with bitmap shows or single source shows.
